QUALIFICATIONS:
Master's degree from accredited college/university
Minimum of five(5) years teaching experience, with at least three(3) years in the area of Special Education
Clinical testing experience
Texas Professional Educational Diagnostician Certificate, or Licensed Specialist in School Psychology
Valid Texas Teacher's Certificate

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:
Responsible for educational assessment to identify child's general level of ability, the intactness of essential learning process, the level of achievement in subject areas, and specific areas of difficulty identified with attention to the child's unique techniques in working through a task
Organize data collected by appraisal process into a written assessment identifying the areas of strengths and deficits
Responsible for reporting to teachers recommendations derived from appraisal and providing consultation and assistance in the implementation of recommendations
Assist as a member of the Admissions, Review and Dismissal Committee in the appropriate educational placement of the student for special education services

SALARY:
Commensurate with experience
